Michael, Julie and Eckhart are coming with me on this Nepalese adventure… what better companions ?

Soaking up all their different styles and words of wisdom in order for me to get the very best out of my Himalayan experience.

Tis’ the night before my flight, yes excited, yes nervous… Looking forward to Bollywood films and an authentic Vegetarian curry on my 12 hour flight.

Nine hours to Mumbai then change for Kathmandu for the last three.

So come fly with me, come fly away to the land of prayer wheels and coloured flags and dip in and out of majestic temples, steering clear of mischievous monkeys !

Next Adventure .... NEPAL ! Watch this space ...

It’s been exactly a year since my last entry, and so much has happened. I have been fortunate in finding the perfect post for me to evolve my skills and capacities further as a therapist and teacher in rural Nepal. I’m looking to learn about Nepalise music traditions and culture and what part this plays in everyday life. I shall be living in a village, teaching English and Music in their local school, which was devastated by the 2015 earthquake and has since been rebuilt.

I’m excited and nervous at the same time, so join me on my journey as I hope to give regular news and updates on this website. I fly to Kathmandu on the 11th November, so pack your bags and wave goodbye to Western civilisation and journey with me to a place of peace and compassion, the birthplace of Buddhism…

"Making Headway: Living with Traumatic Brain Injury" at Waterstones on the 11th November

Join me and the members of Nottingham Headway for the book launch of "Making Headway" at Waterstones, Nottingham. Come and listen to inspiring and heartfelt readings from individuals who've suffered TBI, as well as myself and other therapists who have worked with these survivors. A collection of emotive, raw and honest stories which show the bravery and determination these people are capable of in the face of seemingly insurmountable circumstances.

Thank you to Global Wordsmiths who created this project with Headway, working intensively with the members to help them tell their stories, their way. Buy a copy of the book for £5, and you will be helping Headway, an amazing charity which  provides many different services and support to it's members and their families.

Come and join us !

Saturday 11th November from 12pm - 2pm
