The impact of music

The impact of music on humanity has been debated and discussed since the dawn of time. Music is an intrinsic part of our nature, it moves us and makes us feel good. It is interwoven in deep in our cultures, it accompanies our daily lives, music is a universal language which connects us to ourselves and our fellow human beings.

Music therapy harnesses the power of music to address mental, emotional and physical needs through substantiated scientific methodology and evidence-based practices. It has become an established psychological, clinical intervention providing a safe space and safe output when experiences or emotions are difficult to understand or articulate. One of the many advantages is that no musical skills are required by the client or patient, it is not a musical education but an evolving, enriching activity which benefits the service user on many different levels, addressing diverse needs in adult and child populations.
